You can't get it wet or hot otherwise it will shrink... .but it is easy to turn and polishes up nicely.

Because it is casein and does not like moisture, did you coat it with anything, like CA ?

Worked up through the grits, micromesh, then 20 coats of polish, 20 coats of an oil/wax finish and 20 coats wax - which should be enough to stop the odd splash affecting it too much.

When I sell them I put a large warning in with the info not to get it wet....

It does polish/finish up really nicely... just micromesh is enough to get a great finish.
