Loved working with the material as a new challenge. Ran into a few challenges with the clip, but happy with the first and have a few ideas for improvement. Feel pretty good about centering the hole for the lead to come out. C&C welcome.

I had thought about trying that alloy because of the machinability, but I was concerned about the amount of lead in it. I bought a piece of aluminum bronze but haven't had a chance to work with it yet. I suspect it will be a lot harder to machine.

A very good looking pencil, great lines and the fit and finish are top notch. If I may ask how did you machine that work of art.

I started using a Pentel P205 over 30 years ago in college and have not changed since. I bought the pencil mandrel from John Grounds so I could make my own. This is the first metal one I have seen anyone make. It looks super.

Awesome Job Bruce, Congratulations
A Great looking Pencil.
The complexity is mind bogling.
