My Wifey had Monday off from school for Presidents Day, today, off for snow and got the call this evening that schools are closed again tomorrow. Looks like a 2 day week for her! ...she has been working on school work here though.
Funny thing was that we didn't get that much snow but with the traffic here in northern Va, a half inch gets packed down before it can melt and things get slick fast. Traffic is a bear.
On one snow the first week of January, the superintendent chose not to close and some teachers were on the road for 4 hours trying to get in. Some just turned around and went home. Kids getting to school with no teachers...Car accidents everywhere and unfortunately a couple of bus accidents with kids......first snow for this new superintendent. I hope he has learned to listen to the road spotters who are out at 4:30am checking the county roads for him.

Your pens are all beautiful! I've got 10 pens to make with the PC when I get to my shop. I made them about a week ago or so and it is a lot of fun. I cut little canes and stuck them on and then rolled more clay over those and now we will see if they turn out. I hope so. Some have just flowers and leaves and one has fish and another has dragon flies in it and one with stars and the list goes on. It's going to be very interesting to try it all out. Fay
