After all the trials and tribulations I went through trying to cast my stingray skins in acrylic, Anthony (Penworks) was nice enough to send me a pice of snakeskin that he had cast. Well, I had been having trouble turning acrylics, so I had been keeping this 'till I felt more comfortable. Finally worked up the nerve this weekend, and the results, IMHO, were worth the wait! It is now going to be LOML's daily driver. The only thing I don't like is that it may increase the demand for skin pens!

Anthony, thanks for the blank!

Very nice looking pen. Great job. I have yet to try to use material other than wood. Looking at works like yours is an inspiration. Keep it up.

Being a woodworker that started turning pens for fun and therapy, I've stayed away from all other materials to this point, but that's sweet, Jim, real sweet! The native West Texan that I am, can't help but love the snake skin!
