Smoke tree Burl also know as chittam on a Jr. Empor this is the most amazing wood the pics dont do it justice The blank came from Lou Metcalf (DCBluesman)if you havent signed up on lous site you need to i recieved a E-Mail just befor the 4th of July about this wood and also a sale he was running for the holiday all i can say is Membership has privileges

That pen and wood are awesome. I thought about buying some of it but I still have enough to do about 5 pens. Its definitely some rare wood and a must see in person. What I have is going to be used only on very special orders.

That is a gorgous pen.
I'm working on one also, it will be a Jr Statesman. Mine looks a little more yellow than the tow posted above, but the chatoyance of the wood is spectacular.
