This one is a #40 ring size, about 5/8 OD, and 4.75" long.
It uses a telescoping center kit with a mini refill.
I plan to do another that will be about 3/8" in diameter, about the size of a swisher sweet!:wink:
Not sure about the wood. It reminds me of tiger maple but it also kinda looks like mahogany.
Anyone know for sure?

Mike, I believe you are correct.
I have only turned curly koa a few times and it is a spectacular wood.
In fact, I am embarrassed to say, the cigar pen in my avatar was made from it.:redface:
