My good friend returned from Florida today..He stopped in Harbor Freight to say hello, Told me he had some wood for me..a log of rose wood and a log of "kopak" ..I didnt even know that rosewood grew in Fla. and never heard of "kopak"..cut a chunk of the rosewood into blanks and just had to turn one..He said he had a few more logs of the rosewood to cut up..turns out his wifes nephew has a tree service in Florida

Very nice! You never know what you will find I know I was suprised when I was looking at a list of recomended trees for the Phoenix area that Indian Rosewood was one on the list. Never found one in the "wild" but maybe someday.

Great work Harold, that looks like some nice wood. Very nice finish on the pen
Theres only one thing better than having a friend in the tree service business, and that being in the service yourself[:D]
I am off to cut up some more logs i have collected.[:p]
