Pen made for my uncle using a spoke from an old buggy wheel of my grandpas. Long before I was born he replaced the spokes on a wheel and my uncle has had them on a shelf in an old barn, luckily when he tore the barn down he gave them to me instead of throwing them away. I have no idea what the wood is, and the dark lines you see are actually cracks that had been filled with paint over the years (blue then red, then yellow from what I can tell.)

I have made some pens out of old growth lumber. I get out of old barns and building that are being torn down. I this area the wood is usually pine or hemlock.

People seem to really like the fact that they are from old wood. :)

nice job; i love the slim line and slim line pro; but since dealing with penn state customer service; i am sure i am the only one , Penn State absolutely has to be the done away with. IMHO.
the two pen kits must be available somewhere else wish i could find em.
