Slimline mod

Here is a slimline I made "rustic" with the name of the island the native maple burl is from, per the customers request. It will be used to add entries to their island home journal.

I have enjoyed playing with the assorted slimlime mods. Two of my favorite end table "cheap" pens at home are such ( about $6.00 in each, but very pretty). Yours just got added to my "play" list!

Glen, new to the site and to pen turning what did you use to burn the name and logo? did you use a laser engraver? if so, what unit do you have and do you like it?

I have a local engraver who has been doing mY engraving for some time, now. He's not quite as good as Ken Nelson, but he's close, fast and reasonable. I don't have room in my shop to get into more than turning.
