I want to say a big thanks to all who voted for my pen, and the vendors who donated prizes.

This is the first time i did a modified slimline. I also made the blank from scratch. I used a stave constructed blank, then sliced off .050" slices. Glued them up twisting a half segment each time. Then turned and assembled. I originally was going to try to do a hidden clip and eliminate the finial, but I ran out of time.

The biggest struggle I had was photographing it. Hope to improve photos with more practice.

Thank you for all the compliments. It was really a lot of fun doing this. I would encourage everyone to enter in these contests. This is my second I think. Was not expecting to do this well.

Ed, It is always great to see you too. That is one of the big reasons we came to Chicago for the day. Hope to see you next time.

Sometimes I get in a hurry a don't take the time to click on the picture to expand. You really miss out on this pen if you don't do that. This pen is another great work of art and patience.
