I make these beautiful pens from a very interesting wood named thuya. Thuya (pronounced 'thoo-yuh') is harvested from the stump of the tree every 100 years. Over the next hundred years it will continue to grow from the stump until it is harvested again 100 years later. So basically this wood is very hard to find and there is a limited supply. I make these as a Christmas present and was very pleased with how they turned out.
