Hey all,

Last fall, Skiprat sent me an amazing pen and an even more amazing blank. This weekend, I finally had the combination of time and decent weather I needed to turn the blank. The first challenge was that I didn't know what kind of kit it was, only that it wasn't a Jr. Gent II, and that it didn't fit any of the other bushings that I had (now that it's turned, I'm pretty sure it's a full-sized Gent). So I turned them between centers and used a caliper. I turned it very slowly, I was so scared that I would chip out one the points. I wasn't able to remove the finial, and I was starting to be scared that I'd damage the hardware, so I left it as is.

Very well done Mickie.
Sincere apologies for not replying to your earlier PM. I read it and was going to reply when I had the answer but old age stepped in.........sorry.

I knew that I had used two different darker resins, but didn't think they would show as much as that. Looks ok though.
