What are hand lapped edges? (Whatever they are I assume they must be a good thing, b/c the pen does look great!)

Thank you for nice words about my little pen.

All I know about the kit is that it is a Wood Craft kit. I have a bunch of assorted small kits (mini-European, click, lanyard, etc... I save for nice wood that is just too small for bigger pen. All the baggie says is "click Pen" It comes from larger bag with ten kits in it and the part number is only on larger bag that I no longer have. One of their "bulk-packages".

Lapping may be not exactly correct term, but I use it to mean leaving enough CA extending over the ends of the barrels so once they are removed from the bushings, you can gently roll and polish the ends over. Is sublime on very small pen, but is very nice effect on larger pens.

I will be polishing up some Barron barrels tomorrow or Wednesday and will try to take a clear photo of what I mean and maybe say how it is done.
