Just a simple sketch pencil with a CA finish, but I tried a couple things that were new to me with it. The blank is some mineral stained ambrosia maple I picked up on eBay and stabilized. During the drying process, the wood twisted and bowed, which meant I had to turn it round first. While, not exactly earth shattering, that was a new procedure for me.
The other new thing I tried is this is the first thing I turned on my new Jet 1221VS. THAT was a big change from the JWL-1236 that I'd turned everything else on. I'm still working on getting used to the new lathe, like having the power switch on right of the lathe instead of the left.
