Great idea for that piece of wood that's so perfect you'd hate to cut in segments. Took me a while to determine what twisted the pen in and out. But I got it. Even more a great idea!

I had to look at the innards for a long minute, then reach over and disassemble my "at-work on-the-desk" Cigar to ""get it"" ...
smaaaart! I will just have to borrow the idea, but give credit to the original thinker .. [:D]

Thanks for the comments guys. The wood is mesquite. That's my experimenting wood because for me it is very predictable.

I made it straight to keep the size down, but the next one I make will have more "body".
