a simple sierra

not getting much time in the shop these days but finally got around to turning a smaller piece of koa that Kalai (Chris) sent me. thanks for the wood. UG gold sierra.

I am just in the final finishing stages of a Koa/Blackwood Euro..../did your Koa soak up the CA?

don, the koa soaked up a ton of ca. i had in 6-8 coats of thin and then finally put on some medium which seemed to do the trick. after curing for a day or so, there was still a few cloudy spots where it soaked more or something...

The pen looks great. I find I have been making more and more Sierra's lately. Seems to be a big hit with the ladies.
