This is an extra blank I made while doing my pith pens. It originally blew apart while drilling, finally got around to re-gluing and this is the result.

Padauk, aluminum and maple. Finished in CA.

It's not as simple as some may think.
Measuring, cutting, gluing and then still drilling accurately so it all stays perfectly aligned like you have managed to do, takes a fair bit of skill and attention to detail. Well done.

Very nice. I made the same king of blank for a recent pith. I feel I was more lucky than good. Even after it came apart a few times. Yours looks perfect. Good Job!!:good:

There is a bit of pucker power involved when drilling a blank like that. Oh, I should point out that I've been unlucky a few more times than I've been lucky.

Very nice indeed. Just getting it drilled down the middle has got to be a task. I have not done much with long lines like that.
