Finally got around to turning the other blank Gawdelpus sent me in the swap on paradise. I think it's aluminum that was knurled and then either painted with copper paint or anodized, then cast in PR? Put it on a black ti and ti. gold Sierra vista. My wife has seen it so it may be difficult to keep it from disappearing. No that's not a dull spot on the shine, it's the way the light is hitting the knurling underneath. I wondered when I saw the photo.
