...need the type of wood if anyone knows. I made an order quite a while back from Robutacion and I think these came from generous "freebies" thrown in. Nice looking wood and curious of the name before I give them away.

#1 looks like cross cut Australian Cypress
#2 is gorgeous; I was wondering if it could be cross cut red Palm.
It looks like red Palm except sideways :biggrin:

Im pretty sure #2 is not lace. Seems consistent that #1 is cypress. I'll go with pheasant for the second pen. Maybe Robutacion (George) can confirm if it came from him. Obviously I don't do a good job labeling unusual woods with the where, when, and what.

Yes Mike, they both mine.

The first one is the #59 cross cut Australian Cypress aged and the second one is #51 Silky-Oak cross cut, possibly raw or stabilized...!
