Made this pen using recovered hardware- shot gun pens perhaps should have contrasting cap and barrel- so made the cap using brown bakelite and for the barrel used a piece of cross cut paluchina. This experimental wood piece was difficult to make as it tends to break away. Finally fitted two end stopper rings of local teak wood.

Really nice work - especially on that lower barrel. Crosscut wood can be difficult to work with at times and I'm sure the fine grain on that piece was quite challenging.
