Okay, this is my first snake-wood anything.

I drilled it out two weeks ago ( all in one pass), turned it a week ago(from square to finished shape)....and so far....... not a sound....shhhhhhhh[:eek:)]

Lets keep all comments at a wisper,I also drilled my firsr snakewood today for a Jr.Statesmen,will look at it next week or so.BTW really,really like.......

Well Jim, that looks like an awesome pencil...for now.[:0] I have never tried snakewood, yes because I don't want one to split on me.[V] If I did try one, would it help dripping some CA into the hole after drilling? I'm sure that has already been tried.

I think I will let it sit for a week before I knock out the hardware and Dr it up on the lathe.....oh well, it happened and there was no stopping it.

I turned some snake wood for a Sierra pen. I didnt have any problems. I guess I will call it beginners luck. Seeing that I didnt know snake wood was hard to turn.
