Had some fun over the holidays trying my hand at some segmenting, which was new for me. I used some leftover scraps of wood from other pen projects and pieced together kits from parts that were the remnents of other kits that had been robbed from over time.
I was quite happy with what came out of it. Though I was a somewhat less than thrilled with the finish on them - the cold and wet weather was playing havoc on my CTA finish attempts.
Part of me is tempted to disassemble them and attempt to refinish them. The other part is happy to just keep them around for personal use. They were more of an experiement on my part rather than intended for the sales table.
Top to bottom:
* Purpleheart, Maple, Dyamondwood on a gold kit
* Cocobolo, Maple, Dyed Maple on a black kit
* Cocobolo, Cardinalwood, Maple on a gold click kit (no clip)
