Here's what I was up way too late last night doing. I love the black Ti finish, just looks classy on monochromatic woods.

Finish is conversion varnish.

CV is a 2-part lacquer type product. You are best off spraying it, but it can be thinned and wiped like Deft. It dries quicker, dries harder, sands easier. Ie, IMO it's the perfect pen finish, almost. The solvents and catalyst are hard on you if you don't have REALLY good ventilation (at least when spraying).

BTW I will eventually be working up a tutorial on it for Johnny at TPS for all to see. The hardest part about this stuff is **finding it** since it's only sold to professional woodworkers (which, IMO, penmakers MORE than qualify for). I work in a cabinet shop so I have 5 gallon buckets of the stuff in several sheens. I have yet to try the satin sheen, I'll bet it's nice.
