I've made a bout 6 or 8 of these sets for customers and this is the first set I finally understood and completed a CA finish on them.. I typically turn corian but I don enjoy the process for gluing, cutting and regluing.. WENGE< BLOODWOOD YELLOWHEART AND PURPLEHEART and 10 coats of ca thin
the second is a rhodium plated slim line set no CA

I am by no means capable of judging, but based on what I have seen in the past, it looks as though some of your segmenting isn't sized equally. Otherwise, Great job on the attempt and your finish looks nice too!

Seamus your right, I had issues with the glue process and it really didn't seem to be that big of a deal at the time. I was gluing unlike pieces of wood together and the sizing ended up way off after I drilled and cut. I'm still trying to figure out a better cutting jig for my table saw. I can't seem to get the blade drift adjustment right on my bandsaw to make the cuts that thin with out having to run all the pieces thru a drumsander a 10000 times
