Segmented Pencils

[Alzey]

Here are a pair of slimline pencils that were a customer order. They wanted purple heart, pencil, gun metal, and no clip.

So I started to glue up some wood and forgot about the gun metal part of the request. I put in the metal, glued it up, and put it in the clamps. 15 minutes later...DOH!!!!!! So, I cut some more wood and made another one without the metal.

So I ended up making 2 pencils.

Both pens look great! I prefer the metal bands seperating the woods. One thing I have found after many years of working with purple-heart, is that it will not retain it's true color for very long and turns very dark and featureless. Jim S
