This is a SL made from the left over trimmings from a segmented bowl blank that I glued up but just couldn't throw away .
The woods are , Aspen and Purpleheart with a PH band .

Nice job. I'm not a big fan of fat Slimlines...they are supposed to be...well...slim. The center band helps a lot!! I also like the fact that the different segments are different lengths. I have seen pens where the segments were the same size and they looked like sick Zebras.

Another very subtle point that appeals to me is that the end of the clip lines up with a glue lined...or atleasst very close. Don't think it would have looked ad good the other way??

Thanks all . The only thing I can say is that Aspen is a b***h to work with . I had to do most of the final shaping by hand with sandpaper in order to get a smooth surface .

That is a very striking pen.
I not a fan of fat pens with beads and coves but that is just me.

Yours is a pen that is making me re-think that.
