That looks great! Well done! There is often a tendency to overuse the Pen Wizard and make pens to be "too busy" looking. I like your simple design.

Just had a look at this thing and WOW...the designs and things it can do. I think I have to own one. I wonder if it would work on aluminum as well as wood...?

Yes, but the cutters that you use need to be checked and cleaned regularly. I use carbide router bits for trimming aluminum often but I haven't tried the small bits on aluminum. It can be done but it needs to be watched closely. And of course when cutting aluminum, goggles or glasses are a necessity for safety.

I think the key will be finding the right bit(s).

What kind of finish did you apply to the completed 'turning/wizard'? Bet CA would be a difficult thing to do.....:eek:


I like the design, simple yet effectly shows the fluting!
