second pen in one day..help identify wood please

I turned two pens in one day...a new goal for this old man !
Problem...I am real new to turning and don't know my woods, can someone please tell me what kind of wood it is ? Thank you

Sorry, I'm really bad at identifying woods myself and the picture size really hampers what ever little chance I had. Are the light lines grain? Maybe a description of the wood would help.

John with a photo that small it is almost impossible to see the wood... if you could post a pic about 600pixels wide we would be better able to help you...
