Second home brewed PR pen

Here's my second pen made with my home brewed mix. This was amber, translucent, but you wouldn't know it from this pen. I was not sure how the pen tube showing would affect the look of the pen so I painted it black - it made the pen look much darker than the blank. Hard to capture the look of it with a photo but this is my best attempt so far.

Very pretty pen. It is my understanding that the paint color under tranlucient resins can greatly change the look of the finished pen. Maybe try a lighter paint on the tube, even white next time. Still, it looks great from here as it is.

I like it in the black. Very cool looking blank. I think, I would try red tubes, also.

Not that pleased with this but it does show the difference between painting the tube black and not painting it at all...

Learnt a few things - don't sand until any small holes are filled and don't keep messing up the centre band so that it looks awful!!
