I was doing way too much at once and started to rush things and this is what happens. I broke the wood around the beak. The kit was fine, but the guy turning it (me) should have slowed down. I am not too sorry that this one will have to be used as my own pocket pen. The eagle is very cool. The Sierra is black ti. with gold.

Wolftat I had a similar problem when I did ny eagle pen. I took a similar color wood and infilled the blank with the sawdust. I can't even find the place. It was a different piece pen blank just a close match. I cant see your beak well enough to see a flaw. I think those are some very cool blanks and pens. Good job. Russell

Thanks Russell, I was able to find the pieces and glue them back in but if you look real close you can see where I screwed it up. I don't mind carrying a damaged pen that looks like this one.
