Had some free time today----this is made of little pieces of Diamond wood. Stacked end grain and angle cut. Slim line kit.

I LOVE it!! I'm very fond of dymondwood, also fond of colorful things, and especially like colors like blues and greens, pinks and purples... all the girly colors. So this pen just fits all of those likes! And it would be quite the conversation piece I'm sure! I'm no expert on glue ups either, but it sure looks like you did a great job on it!
