Scales From Creative Dimensions

I got this blank in the mail Monday which was my B-day. So this will be my b-day present to myself. It is a Scales blank from Creative Dimensions (Alton Greenmtnguy and Charlie Newloundon88) I appreciate it very much. I do quite a bit of fishing. When I am not doing woodworking thats where I can be found, on some lake soaking some rays and fishing.

I wanted it too resemble fish scales so I started with green paint. Then rubbed some brown in the highlight areas and wiped the excess off. The white looking spots are white/silver glitter mixed in the CA finish to make it appear with a shimmering effect. It looks better in person than my pictures make it out.
