haven't found a spare minute in months for hobbies.
so I'm glad the hour I spent tonight in the garage gave me this pen.
pretty happy with it, except for this: the wood right under the finial thins out too much. you can see through it!
will gift this to my father, who is coming in this weekend to visit from europe, and loves to collect (and use!) pens.

By the way, this is a sterling silver sedona from Lee Valley, with a box elder burl.

I have had this happen to me. The entrance hole when I drilled was a little to large. (my problem was caused by heat and impatience). The epoxy I used, filled the space, but the tube was off to one side. This made the gap way to large in one place, so that when I turned it down I actually reached the epoxy in that one spot.
