Very nice indeed !!!!! . Which clip did you use ?

Not sure, I bought some from a guy in England, however the local woodcraft store owner is really nice and has a giant Tupperware bin of mix match parts from where people bring in broken kits for return or need a replacement part, and let me take the clips for free

Generally for kitless looking for a clip with an ID of ~10mm and OD of ~12mm, as can turn a tenon and thread the cap butt in, but still have room inside the tenon for the upper most part of the nib, I then I make a small inner cut for the clip ring to recess, and make a break for the clip stanchion with the drimmel tool

This size seems fairly essential to avoid a disproportionate cap size, as smaller ID clip rings made the tenon drill size to small for the nib point

Am looking to experiment with cutting the bands and soldering a bar to fit in a slot and bend down the wall of the interior

Then would press fit (or use a small screw) a derlin cap insert so can keep the cap all one piece and reduce drilling (and time)

Also have a roll stop experiment underway for clipless using dermal body jewelry heads which I found be bought with threaded posts in larger wire gauges then traditional earrings
