I would like to share my first, "All-IAP," pen made from an interesting piece of Royal Poinciana in a Modesto kit with the Antique Brass finish. The wood was purchased from an IAP vendor and the kit was purchased via a group buy. I won't be holding on to this one for too long, as this was a custom order for a co-worker. My short time here has already proven that there are benefits of being a part of the IAP!

Beautiful pen. I love Royal Poinciana also. Here is a picture of the tree that I took while an a SCUBA diving trip last year. I have many quite a few pens and find it a very nice timber.

Well done.

My wife bought a small framed canvas to paint and it had a couple of pieces of that wood (though not anything very pretty) inside as frame stretchers. It must have been Commoner Poinciana, rather than the Royal Poinciana.

And that is a very pretty pen!
