Royal estate yew

This is a piece of English yew from the Sandringham Estate in England, trimmed in ebonite. I purchased this lovely blank from Exotic Blanks.

Did you use BLO?

Yup -- BLO then five coats of CA, buffed to within an inch of its life. The BLO really brings out the color nicely -- raised some reds in the wood that weren't visible prior to application. Thanks for a beautiful blank!
