Rosewood Burl

Havent posted for a while, so I thought I'd share this one with you all.

I got a shipment of rather nice timbers from Nolan a week or two back and finally got the opportunity to do something with them. This one is a piece of rosewood burl he sent me, probably the darkest and wildest grain of the batch.

I've got no idea what species of rosewood it is, but it has turned out rather nice. :wink:

I've got no idea what species of rosewood it is

It is Hounduran rosewood burl (Dalbergia stevensonii)

Very nice pen, and I really like the idea of the background for the images. I have plenty of those laying around, maybe I'll use them for SOMETHING someday, and it just might be for that lol
