Which kit is that?

That kit is the classic American fountain pen from woodcraft. I don't make it regularly because they are difficult to procure in any large amount.

Sure is! Two layers of thin (I use two just to seal up the burl completely) and two layers of medium. No accelerator. I sand through 1500-4000 quickly, just to get out the ridges, but I spend a long time with the 4000-12000 to really get it shiny. Whole process takes maybe 30 minutes.
