Rolling in dough

When I first made the shredded money pen, I declared that it epitomizes this and pretty much all hobbies: Money shredder and time killer. That was a few months ago.

Fast forward to a deal I made with our brethren, Seamus. So here we go:



The Majestic is wrapped in shredded money with gold leaf.

The NY State quarter is dressed with Statesmen II Jr:


The Kennedy half dollar is a Gentleman jr:

Awesome! I gotta ask though. How or what was used to get the half dollars in the blank? It looks like they were cut on a scroll saw, but I imagine that would've been a hell of a lot of work. So maybe you have a different method? Been thinking of doing a whole series of money related pens and this is an option I hadn't thought of.
