Robusto in Camatillo with a 4-start Rope Twist

More fun with my Legacy Mill. This is a four-start twist using a 1/2" rope twist bit. The blanks were first rounded on the mill with a bottom-cleaning bit, then the twist was performed by lining up the appropiate indexing holes for four starts. The blanks were then transferred to the lathe for tapering and sanding. The finish is several coats of brushed-on lacquer.

Nice. I wondered how to finish those. CA tends to build up in the depressed areas. I need to get me some lacquer now.
