Being as I love a closed end roller, I made another Retro using Honduran Rosewood burl with sapwood. I like the two different contrasting woods that I feel give a pen tons of character. The finish is 10 coats CA sanded through all the colored pads then polished with heavy then fine scratch remover from Indy Pen Dance. Sorry about the dust:rolleyes:
Thanks for looking.

The wood is beautiful the finish is brilliant, and the shape of the body and cap, that gentle bulge-in the middle just makes that pen one of the nicer ones I've seen in a while.

Very nice! I have avoided sapwood in the past, and in fact just got a set of blanks in today and I was upset that one had a strong layer of sapwood. This makes me reconsider, I really like the way that looks!
