I will be doing a demo on reverse painting this week and thought I would post the most dramatic results of a blank from one of the IAP members. (Won't mention the name, but you know who he is.) The first pen is done with a yellow reverse paint. The second is the same blank, but reverse painted black.
Also thought I would add a couple pictures of tru-quarter blanks; Ohio and Virginia. Can take no credit for how they look; all I had to do was turn them. You also know who this artist is.

The difference between the yellow and black reverse painting is amazing. Both look awesome. Thanks for sharing.

Great job on the reverse painting. Reverse painting seems to be something that people love, or hate. I like doing it because of the different effects you can get like two completely different looking pens from the same blank. The clearer the blank, the better as far as I'm concerned. It can be frustrating if the paint gets scratched, but whjen it works, it is so worth the extra effort.
