Thanks for the comments! I did have trouble getting the upper and lower barrels together. I searched here and found the solution - I used a 3/8 bit to remove just a bit of the plating inside the upper barrel. It didn't take much and now works very nicely. What appears to be fine scratches in the upper barrel is just texturing in the blank itself (I would never leave sanding marks :D). The background is just what happened to be handy, in this case a pillow sheet.

Nice job of nailing the lower barrel, thats the hardest part on a cigar for most folks, cause the bushings want to make it proud at the centerband, but it looks like you got it spot on, and with a fine looking blank, great looking pen
