after the poor finish i laid on the weekend on the bog oak i needed to redeem myself. not for any one else but me. i needed to know i haven't lost my touch. turned out great,.

Awesome, odd question but where did you find that stone you have the pen resting on in your photos? I would like to find something similar

they wash up on the beach near my house, i think its some kind of pumice stone. they float and can be carved quite easily. my kids collect hand fulls when ever we walk down to the water.
