Red Palm Cigar

Turned this double twist cigar the Red Palm was a snap to turn sanded to 1500 4 coats thin CA 3 coats thick CA buffed and renwaxed.
I'm not sure If I like the double twist mechanisms, but the rest of the kit is great.

Very nice finish, and great choice to go with the full CA thick coat finish. I tried a palm with CA/BLO, and never did get an even finish. The stuff in between the needles is like cork.

Beautiful color on the pen overall, too! I'm with you about the double twist thing, I don't like it much either. Seems kind of useless and makes it hard to retract the nib with confidence.

The cigar is one kit that I actually prefer the PSI version, at least the twist mechanism, the flat top is pretty strange as well, but it makes a nice looking pen
