I also made 2 with the top finial in the walnut... but wifey stole them!!! :mad::eek::frown::biggrin:

Oh... Dry sanded Abranet 180 and 240. Applied Mylands Sanding sealer and resanded wet with 240 to fill in the grain. Sanded with Abranet and Mylands 320, 400, 500. Burnished with chips at the end to take the sheen off.

Hahahha, at the price you paid for that wood, you could practice a lot but, you don't need that much practice, from what I see from your work and for the price, its still makes a beautiful pen so, win, win, huh...???
