Got a request from a lady to make a pen for her husband... She wanted it to be from local wood, and brought me some pieces of red oak (bur oak possibly)... I used a piece of deadfall, the sapwood had all rotted away which made it easier to hand saw a sort of blank out of - the pen came out great and I included some knots.. I'd say it was a piece of branch.. there's even some curl.

It's just polished with hut ppp - light brown then white.. The lady wanted a pen that felt like wood... A lot of the people who want my pens don't like the plasticy feel of the CA... tommorow I make my brother's pens :)
