My shoulder pain has been back with a vengeance lately. So with that and school, turning has been limited for me. Yesterday I turned this red cedar on gun metal trimline pen. I decided not to go with CA on this one. I used friction polish and wax bars. I adjusted the grain alignment to where it should be after the picture was taken. The clip end is slightly over turned at the top, but I think the grain on this one is very striking. Thanks for taking a look, and I welcome any comments.

Excellent grain! Cedar is one of my favorites to turn. If you ever get a chance to turn some leyland cypress branches, you should give it a shot. Similar qualities, but different grain.
