A recent request - laminated bolt action

Had a customer request a custom bolt action pen to match his favorite knife.

He sent me the following photos.

Talked for a bit and I got to work. Couldn't source the ply used for the scales (I thought it was from Spectraply but no luck) so I decided to make my own. Owner decided on double layers of each color.

After final sanding.

With finish applied.

Finished piece.

Yes. Dyed veneer from Sauer Veneers.
