After thinking about how to I made a few slimline pens from Rebar.

Just a wee bit of a learning experience to do it.

I don't know what size I would need to drill it to not need brass tubes.

Even after drilling and inserting brass tubes it still didn't press together easily.

I eventually worked out to drill the first 1/2" or so with a "J" drill so the tube can flex enough to insert the transmisison.

On this one I drilled deep enough for the brass tube to fit in and pressed the transmission in and then worked on the nib end until everything was sized properly.

Lots of fun when it finally all went together.

Bye

Like your pen. For many years now I used brass sleeves in Reebar makes refilling easy as.
I found juggling the body of the pen I could centralise it in the chuck.

Love your pen.

Peter.
